TRAINING COORDINATOR JOB DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Quality & Training Manager,
the Training Coordinator
is responsible for
delivering
the company’s training & development programs
that will drive our strategic plan and team members to deliver on our Vision, Mission, and Core Values.
RESPONSBILITES:
Mentor, coach and train staff in their job duties and responsibilities, while maintaining care and control
Plan and execute employee onboarding training (Equipment, Process, WHMIS, WV&H, etc.)
Plan, organize and conduct WHMIS training, TDG training, Violence & Harassment refreshers
Organize and schedule required safety/first-aid training
Conduct customers required training (ie. TDG at GDLS)
Plan and organize all external training required (Rail etc.)
Execute Forklift Practical and Theory training
Responsible for all equipment certifications
Develop, plan and execute any process training required
Effectively organize and execute training of Team Members on ISO Work Instructions and processes
Deliver Professional development workshops at all levels of organization
Assist in developing loyal, empowered and engagement workforce
Work in a collaborative manner with all levels of management
Modify or create course materials and training manuals to meet specific training needs
Present in-person and online training sessions or sources qualified personnel
Execute training programs including schedules, organizes information technology and other equipment
Provide GDLS with classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training (IATA, TDG, WHMIS)
Maintain a Controlled Goods security clearance
Shall adhere to all company Policies, Rules and guidelines
Any other duties as assigned

Follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act including Safety, Violence and Harassment laws
Work in a healthy and safe manner following HCL’s policies and procedures
Always wear or use protective equipment
Report any hazards you find in the workplace to your Supervisor
Must not use or operate equipment in a manner that would endanger yourself or others
Must not put other workers at risk by your actions
EDUCATION /JOB KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
Preferably a College diploma in Business Management with a focus on Human Resources/Training or the equivalent in combination of education and experience
Practical experience developing learning solutions in multiple modalities and experience using design thinking methodology
Willingness to attend and participate in training and development programs
Proficient in Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Word)
