Job Description

We are looking for someone who will be responsible for the creation of all detailed custom wooden door orders. You will be using a variety of Machines including a custom CNC Jamb machine,Shapers, Half lap and Arch forms will be required. Pay rate: TBD (based on experience)

Shift Times: 6:00am-2:30pm Monday to Friday

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Position and secure working pieces on machine, measuring instruments and other tools to operate machine efficiently and safely to perform molding operations from start to finish.
  • Maintain downtime records and production information as appropriate.
  • Perform quality checks throughout the production process, ensuring manufacturing specifications are achieved.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively to support product flow through plant.
  • Responsible for the creation of all detailed custom orders. Custom jamb work and rework.
  • Inspect product for defects and work closely with co-workers and quality team members to identify root-causes and corrective actions to maintain Masonite quality standards.
  • Operate planers and gang rip saws.
  • Run a 3 Axis Cnc Machine with vacuum lifts
  • Fabricate parts and assemble high quality, premium, wooden stile and rail doors
  • Operate cutting, sanding, gluing and press tools
  • Maintain equipment through preventative maintenance; Implement routine maintenance checklist
  • Perform basics troubleshooting when machine malfunctions

WHAT YOU’LL NEED IN ORDER TO QUALIFY:

  • Preferably three + years’ experience in manufacturing setting
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical diploma considered an asset
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background check
  • Ability to lift to 50lbs and on occasion push/pull 100lbs.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must have high attention to detail.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to determine programming parameters.
  • Perform machine adjustment calculations.
  • Ability to read, follow, and understand work instructions from both written and verbal sources and basic writing skills.
  • Excellent attendance record and commitment to your team members, self-motivation, and accountability to safety & quality.
  • Knowledge of architectural specifications and wood products.
  • Knowledge of door construction, stile and rail, frames, and specialty flush door.
