Accounting Analyst/Administrator

We’re seeking a full time Accounting Analyst/Administrator who will help ensure the success of our accounting team through compliance, accountability, accuracy and responsiveness. 

Job Description:

• Preparing journal entries, obtaining authorizations and supporting documentation for accounts payable accurately and within deadlines
• Preparing detailed account reconciliations monthly
• Clearing all significant reconciling items prior to month end
• Processing void cheques and placing stop payments on cheques
• Filing reconciliations, void cheques, stop payment cheques and other department records as required
• Testing resulting balances for accuracy and resolving discrepancies as required
• Accurate reporting
• Fielding audit inquiries

Requirements:

• Accounting Diploma
• Certificate from a Community College and Enrolment in the CGA / CMA
• 1 to 3 years accounting experience
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office
