Purchasing Coordinator

The Purchasing Coordinator is a regular full-time position reporting to the Purchasing Supervisor.  The successful applicant will take an active role as a member of the Purchasing team in the delivery of VIP Service to Our Customers.

Purchasing Coordinator Responsibilities Include:

·         Assisting with all aspects of the day to day purchasing functions; analysing inventory requirements, creating purchase orders, setting up new part numbers, sending EDI transmissions, expediting purchase orders, maintaining ETA dates and assessing backorders.

·         Support will be given to the warehouse with receiving when necessary, creating work orders, transferring inventory from warehouse to warehouse, inventory stock adjustments, monthly inventory assistances with unit counts, participate on the year end physical inventory team and reporting inventory movement on a monthly basis to various vendors.

·         Assist with invoicing product, crediting accounts, returning goods when necessary and addressing custom brokerage inquiries.

·         Work closely with internal customers.

·         Administrative duties, special projects and other tasks as assigned.

Key Qualifications:

·         Post-Secondary education in purchasing or minimum of 5 years purchasing experience.

·         Experience analyzing spreadsheets, working with formulas and creating tables.

·         Demonstrates knowledge of Microsoft excel, access and word. Knowledge of AS400 an asset.

·         Excellent communication skills.

·         Strong problem solving skills.

·         Self-starter who works well independently as well as part of a cross-functional team.

This position will be located in London, Ontario.
