Starting Salary: $23.42 per hour
Note: This is a full-time position (35 hours per week).
Duties: With defined portfolios while under the direction of the Manager, Benefits and Compensation, and as part of a team, the incumbent administers the payroll process and documentation of newly hired employees, retirees, terminations, and lay-offs as they relate to benefits and compensation. The incumbent is also responsible for the administration and reconciliation of leave of absences for all staff groups.
Qualifications:
§ Post-secondary 2 year diploma in Payroll, Business, Finance or Human Resources
§ Canadian Payroll Association course an asset
§ Minimum 3 years practical and related experience in Payroll/Human Resources environment
§ Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on teamwork
§ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
§ Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail
