Allen Professional Search, London Office, is currently recruiting for a Supplier Quality Development Engineer in the manufacturing industry. This position offers a competitive salary, is located in London and is a permanent opportunity.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Supplier Quality Development Engineer drives and facilitates supplier development projects to ensure a supply chain capable of providing increased flexibility and responsiveness, improved utilization of assets, improved quality and reduction of overall costs.
Work closely with supply chain management and its suppliers to close performance gaps in both quality and delivery performance
DMAIC type projects will be the stable activity for this role
Communicate and interact with supply chain and supplier quality with documentation and information on suppliers performance and improvement efforts are required
Work closely with the engineering team and supply chain to support successful supplier qualifications
Lead Supplier quality assessments and audits
Drive Supplier quality assurance and improvement activities
AQP,FMEA, control plans, measurements systems, sub-supplier qualification, SPAP, Supplier PIP and QN
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required: BSc. degree in a technical field preferably in Engineering
Six Sigma Certification or demonstrated DMAIC experience
Posses ASQ CSSBB, CSSGB, CQE or CQA certification or be aggressively pursuing these
Travel 50-75% with some international travel
Flexibility is key in this position
SALARY:
base salary 65-75K, great benefits package with pension plan
