Key Responsibilities:

As a member of the Cold Springs Farm (MLCF) Finance team, this role will draw on your professional and technical abilities which have been developed through a working knowledge of financial reporting for a large publicly-traded company. Key responsibilites of the role include:
- Inventory reconciliations
- Month end journal entries
- Maintaining standard cost systems
- Variance analysis
- Assist with financial statement preparation
- Assist in forecasts and budget preparation
- New product cost studies
- Analyze, cost, and allocate all utility expenses
- Financial report preparation as required
- Build Six Sigma skills by identifying, developing and recommending improvements that will eliminate non-value added work, create efficiences, uncover cost savings and improve internal controls
- Build direct personal leadership skills (such as project management, problem solving and communication) by working on special projects as assigned

Preferred Hiring Criteria:

- Minimum one year experience in manufacturing environment
- Standard cost experience preferred
- Advanced Excel user
- Experienced user of MS Office
- Ability to work effectively in a deadline driven environment
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work with a positive attitude and in a professional manner
- Enjoy working in a fast paced, changing environment
- Possess a strong attention to detail
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and be a dedicated team player
- Hold or actively pursuing Accounting Designation, at a Level 3 minimum (CGA or CMA)
