YMCA of Southwestern Ontario was founded in 1856 and has over 200 locations from Goderich to Point Pelee, and Windsor to Woodstock. We are one of the largest not-for-profit providers of licensed child care in Canada and have over 100 school age programs across our regions. We also offer settlement services to newcomers, employment programs, mental health support, and youth programs. YMCA of Southwestern Ontario operates two overnight camps, one in Point Pelee National Park, and one on Beausoleil Island in Muskoka. We also have 15 Health & Fitness branches across Southwestern Ontario.

Employees and volunteers of YMCA of Southwestern Ontario are ambassadors for the Y both on and off the job. Locations:
• YMCA Camp Queen Elizabeth, Beausoleil Island, Georgian Bay Islands National Park (Honey Harbour) - May-October
• YMCA office - 165 Elmwood Avenue, London, Ontario, N6C 0A8 (with hybrid option available) - October - April
Start Date: March-April
Salary: $56,500 - $65,000

About the Role: Are you passionate about camp leadership, youth development, and making a difference? YMCA Camp Queen Elizabeth is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Camp Director to join our vibrant camp community. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to:

? Ensure high-quality camper experiences, prioritizing safety, well-being, and fun!
? Oversee all aspects of camp operations, from staff training and facility management to parent communication, budget oversight and program development.
? Be part of a vibrant camp community where every summer is filled with adventure, learning, and lasting memories.
Key Responsibilities:
• Form positive relationships with campers and staff, ensuring that each has an exciting, safe experience full of opportunities for learning, growth, belonging and fun.
• Plan and deliver engaging camp programs that reflect YMCA core values.
• Manage all aspects of camp operations, including staff training, facility management, financial stewardship and emergency response.
• Communicate effectively with parents and stakeholders, maintaining a professional and positive demeanor.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years of management experience in an outdoor or recreational setting.
• Strong skills in child and youth development, staff supervision, and coaching.
• Current certifications in Standard First Aid, CPR C, and other relevant qualifications.
