Employees and volunteers of YMCA of Southwestern Ontario are ambassadors for the Y both on and off the job. Position: Wellness Coach, Personal Trainer & Group Fitness Instructor (training available)
Part-time Hours: 20 to 25 Hours plus Personal training opportunities
Location: 920 Sunningdale Rd E, ON N5X 0H5 - Stoney Creek Community Centre, YMCA & Library
Start Date: November 2024
Hourly: $17.20 for wellness Shifts and $25 for Personal Training
Availability: Mornings, some weekend availability

In this role, you will: KEY DUTIES
• Act as a YMCA ambassador, demonstrating YMCA core values in your daily work.
• Customer Service: Provides fitness floor supervision, including greeting each Member by name whenever possible and servicing their fitness needs during scheduled shifts.
• Varied shift commitment including weekday/weeknight/ and weekend times.
• Responsible for achieving Y Thrive appointments and Personal Training monthly goals.
• Maintain a safe, clean and friendly environment.

Education and Skills Qualifications:
• Related education or certifications (personal training certification required)
• 1 year of related experience or Health & Fitness Diploma
• Current Standard First Aid/CPR/AED
• Experience in teaching group fitness is an asset (Yoga, Bootcamp ect.)
• Experience in teaching MOSSA group fitness classes is an asset
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Customer service skills
• Provide a current Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Position Screening as per the Association policy.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.
