Job Type: Full-Time

Wage: $/hour, OT paid out at 1.5 times the hourly rate for all hours worked beyond 40 hours in a week, 3% company matching RRSP

About the Role

As a Vision Systems Programmer at BOS Innovations, you will develop and commission advanced vision solutions, integrating cutting-edge machine vision and AI technologies into automation projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, contributing to both internal advancements and client-focused solutions. You will be at the forefront of system implementation and design, ensuring that our vision systems meet high-quality standards and exceed customer expectations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and Implement Vision Solutions: Create, test, and optimize vision programs for automation projects, ensuring efficient system integration and functionality.
  • System Commissioning and Troubleshooting: Commission equipment onsite, troubleshoot vision system performance, and fine-tune systems to meet client criteria.
  • Documentation and Standards: Prepare detailed documentation, including vision specifications and user manuals, and participate in developing company standards for vision programming.
  • Collaborative Design and Support: Work alongside sales and project teams to design and support vision systems, contributing to concept development and customer engagement.
  • Mentorship and Continuous Improvement: Mentor junior team members, support continuous research on new technologies, and enhance the functionality and cost-effectiveness of vision solutions.

About You

You are an experienced professional in automation and machine vision or an enthusiastic newcomer eager to start your career in this field.  You possess an innovative and proactive mindset, a strong foundation in programming and analytical thinking, and you really enjoy working with data. Ideal candidates will have experience in or an eagerness to learn about machine vision systems, automation, and industry-specific programming tools and methodologies. You are detail-oriented, collaborative, and committed to high standards and ethics.  Excellent communication and adaptability are key, as you will need to tackle new challenges, embrace change and adopt new technology.
