YMCA of Southwestern Ontario was founded in 1856 and has over 200 locations from Goderich to Point Pelee, and Windsor to Woodstock. We are one of the largest not-for-profit providers of licensed child care in Canada and have over 100 school age programs across our regions. We also offer settlement services to newcomers, employment programs, mental health support, and youth programs. YMCA of Southwestern Ontario operates two overnight camps, one in Point Pelee National Park, and one on Beausoleil Island in Muskoka. We also have 15 Health & Fitness branches across Southwestern Ontario.

Position/Term: Family Centre Supervisor
Start Date: As Soon As Possible
Salary: $26.00 per hour (includes all wage government enhancements)

Qualifications & Experience:
• Diploma or degree from an accredited college or university in a field related to Family and Community Services
• Registered (and in good standing in the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
• Experience in Community Development
• A minimum of two years supervisory experience
• Safe Food Handler Certification
• Valid Standard First Aid/CPR Level C training
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle ( travel required within the London area)
• Current and acceptable Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Position Screen is a requirement

Schedule:

• 7.5 hour workday, 37.5 hour work week
• May require evening and weekend work based on community events and daily operations of the centre


Responsibilities:
• Recruit, hire, train, schedule and supervisor the full time and part time Community Connectors
• Actively builds Family Centre team though coaching, mentoring and assisting employees to develop and achieve annual goals
• Oversee the daily operations at the Family Centre Carling Thames
• Collaborate with Community Partners and Residents to ensure the Strategic Vision of Carling Thames
• Promote and support community special events and programs
• Be responsible for the health and safety of environment and participants within the Family Centre
• Liaise between the Child and Youth Network (CYN) priorities and the YMCA
• Participate in CYN Family Centered Service System network initiativesfor the health and safety of environment and participants within the Family Centre
• Manage the centre budget, complete financial forecasting, maintain and report accurate expenses and complete payroll requirements
• Respond to Calls for Proposals, Grants, and Contract Renewals to create new opportunities in the centre
• Ensure own performance is in compliance with the policies and procedures of the YMCA of Southwestern Ontario, including Health and Safety, Child Protection and Risk Management.
