Yard Supervisor

• $60,000 to $65,000.00 per year depending on experience. 
• Company paid benefits, Pension plan sharing, and more.
• 2 weeks’ vacation in first year 3 weeks after 1 year of service.

• Coordinate with supervisor and receive all materials and prepare necessary paperwork for delivery.
• Coordinate proper handling of all materials making sure stored in designated areas.
• Monitor inventory of yard supplies and place orders, as necessary with purchasing department.
• Manage the rack system efficiently, organize and use the yard space optimally
• Work with the Truck & Trailor dispatch
• Request work orders for the Maintenance Team for all equipment and prepare daily inspections to submit to the Maintenance Foreman.
• Monitor loading and staging of materials to ensure safe and efficient transport to job sites.
• Monitor work of employees (organize shift patterns, breaks etc.) and initiate disciplinary actions as required.
• Train staff to develop and achieve all work objectives and evaluate performance regularly.
• Receive all load lists for an upcoming week from Dispatch. Communicate with the Managers to strip and manage the shunt truck driver and shipping staff to unload trailers to the correct yard location.
• Collect hardware lists and layout drawings from the Project Management and manage staff to ensure all necessary hardware and drawings are on the correct trailer.
• Ensuring visual inspection of all lifting equipment, Load List/Driver Sign-off. 
• Safety meeting and ensuring safety inspection and certifications on equipment.
• spend a portion of the time planning and directing work – and a portion of the time leading by example. 
• Covering Operators, loading trucks, and moving products in craneway as needed. 
• May be required to perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

• 2-5 years working in a similar environment, preferably in a supervisory role. 
• Ability to read and understand load lists and erection drawings.
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders, manager and employees.
• Experience with heavy equipment and large forklift equipment.
