Director of Business Development.

Dallas Mercer Consulting Inc. Prime Management Group Inc. is pleased to partner with Dallas Mercer Consulting Inc. in recruiting for the position of Director of Business Development. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading DMC’s expansion into the Ontario market, developing the sales and marketing strategies as well as building and managing the team required to execute them. The new Director will also play a key role as a member of the senior leadership team, bringing their general business acumen to all key discussions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Expansion: Focus on growing DMC’s presence in Ontario and throughout the Western Provinces and Territories while enhancing its strong reputation in Atlantic Canada.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and coach sales and marketing staff to ensure team success in selling value and differentiating DMC’s offerings.
  • Marketing Initiatives and Digital Branding: Develop and implement effective marketing strategies that leverage digital marketing techniques to enhance lead generation and brand visibility, strengthening DMC's presence in both new and existing markets.
  • Strategic Planning: Lead the development of the sales and marketing plan, aligning with the company’s 3-year strategic plan while setting clear objectives and timelines.
  • Pipeline Management: Ensure a steady flow of new business opportunities and deliver regular performance reports on pipeline health and marketing initiatives.
  • Proposal Development: Oversee the creation of proposals and presentations to secure new business opportunities.
  • Customer Experience: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer experiences that align with market needs.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Foster relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers to support long-term growth.
  • Leadership Contributions: Provide insights into market trends, competitor analysis, and business opportunities to the senior leadership team to guide strategic decisions.

 

Qualifications:

To succeed as the Director of Business Development for Dallas Mercer Consulting (DMC), the ideal candidate will have:

  • Master’s degree (preferred) or equivalent experience, with a minimum of six years in leadership roles in sales, marketing, or business development, in a service industry.
  • Proven success in driving growth and executing effective sales and marketing strategies in a service industry.
  • Experience in branding, marketing concepts, and business development strategies, with a preference for candidates with disability management, healthcare, or workplace compensation experience.
  • Experience working with owner-led, entrepreneurial environments, building teams with a “people first” approach to leadership.
  • A proven track record in implementing and utilizing an effective CRM system to support sales and marketing processes, enhance service delivery efficiencies, and improve reporting.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, coupled with the ability to prioritize and achieve outstanding results.
  • Collaborative, integrity-based team player with strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills, capable of managing complex projects.
  • A demonstrated flexibility and commitment to extensive travel across Canada including participation in key industry events, and business development opportunities to drive nationwide growth and strengthen market presence.
