The LEDC is currently seeking a Communications Coordinator for a full-time contract position up to four months duration. Reporting to the Director of Communications and Marketing and working closely with a Design Coordinator, this position is responsible for content creation and reporting.

Key Accountabilities:
- Content creation for websites, social media, articles, newsletters, press releases, blogs and presentations
- Implementation, monitoring and reporting on communications strategies
- Gate keeper and triage of general inquiries
- Media and issues monitoring, tracking and reporting
- Website audit and updates
- Document inventory and continued updates
- Implementation of communications and marketing strategies
- Preparation and planning of background documents
- Other projects as they arise including but not limited to assistance with event planning and local outreach activities
Required Skills and Expertise:
- Currently enrolled in post-secondary education and returning in the fall
- Strong writing skills, including the ability to identify and cater to diverse audiences
- Strong research abilities
- Proficient in Google analytics and other reporting tools
- Experience with social media campaigns an asset
- Advanced editing skills, with attention to grammar and detail
- Experience updating a website is an asset
- Positive, solution oriented attitude with a track record of good judgement
- Excellent analytic and problem solving abilities and critical and creative thinking
- A team player that can work well independently
- Ability to communicate and represent the organization in a wide variety of situations
