Summary of Duties:

Reports to the Parks Manager or designate for a period of 15 weeks. Will assist with reorganizing of work areas regarding parks operations using GIS mapping, field data collection and analysis. Will perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Work Performed:

  • Review and reorganize work areas and zones including the distribution of parks and roadside cutting areas using GIS mapping.
  • Evaluates the ongoing effectiveness of systems in meeting their intended objectives and recommend improvements in both systems and methods within parks operations.
  • Provides support on corporate systems including but not limited to Work Orders, Asset Management and Maintenance Management Software.
  • Operates and understands required hardware and software systems pertaining to computerized maintenance management systems including the operation of personal computers.
  • Collects various information and data and presents in various maps, drawings, graphs, and charts.
  • Provides technical guidance as a technologist.
  • Attends meeting on behalf of parks operations.
  • Carries out and/or assist with ongoing projects and data collection within parks operations.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Specialized Training & Licenses:

Skills and abilities in the following area are necessary:

Valid Driver’s License – Class G

Working Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act

Compensation & Other Information:

$21.78/hour

This posting is for one (1) temporary full-time up to 15 weeks position.

Current hours of Work: Monday - Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Work Arrangement: On-site. Subject to change in accordance with business requirements.
