Salary: $105,000 - $130,000, 3% company matching RRSP

About the Role

As the Controller at BOS Innovations, you’ll be a key member of the management team, responsible for leading the financial operations of the organization. Your expertise will guide strategic decision-making and ensure financial integrity through comprehensive planning, reporting, and compliance. With a focus on leadership, you will develop and manage a high-performing finance team, enhance processes, and foster a culture of collaboration and excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Team Development and Leadership: Build and lead a high-functioning finance team by fostering a culture of performance, collaboration, and engagement. Oversee goal setting, coaching, mentoring, and professional development to support individual and team success.
• Financial Operations and Reporting: Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting functions to ensure accuracy in financial reporting. Oversee the preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and detailed financial analyses. Maintain robust reporting systems to provide timely and actionable insights for management.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure effective internal controls and compliance with regulatory laws and reporting standards. Manage audit processes efficiently and implement strategies to mitigate financial risks, including currency and credit risk.
• Strategic Planning and Analysis: Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and consolidation efforts to support long-term strategic goals. Develop financial models and analyses to guide decisions on capital expenditures, acquisitions, and other key initiatives. Collaborate with external partners, including financial institutions and auditors, to strengthen business operations.

You are a financial leader with a proven track record of delivering impactful results. A CPA designation and experience in accounting, auditing, or financial planning are essential, as is familiarity with systems like Microsoft Dynamics Business Central. Your ability to build relationships and communicate effectively across all levels of an organization complements your analytical mindset and problem-solving skills. Experience with tools like Power BI and advanced Excel are assets, and your proactive approach ensures that financial operations align seamlessly with strategic objectives.
