Job Description
Our client a leader in home finishing and storage options is currently looking for a Kitchen Designer- Sales to complement an already amazing team. If you have worked in a catalog-based design environment and must have the ability to quote while designing efficiently and effectively to increase sales, this position is for you. This position is on site, and you will be meeting with walk in clients as well as following leads keeping stellar customer service in mind.
What we Offer:
- Designer; closer needing training in sales – $22.00-$23.00/hour + 1% commission on sales.
- Designer – closer; Experience in sales $25/hour + 2% commission on sales.

What You’ll be doing:
- Design kitchen and shelving plans, using catalog-based systems.
- Keeping up with product lines and price points to sell full product line with confidence.
- Create quotes for customers in a timely and efficient manner, keeping client needs and price point to of mind.
- Visit client sites to take accurate measurements and gather information for quotes and estimates.
- Maintain client connections from estimate to installation.
- Using inside contractors to schedule installations and if not available then arranging outside contractors.
- Work with the Sales and Marketing Manager to create sales plans to meet or surpass company goals.
- Provide feedback to management on market conditions, customer preferences, and product performance.
- Train existing employees and new hires on applicable policies and procedures.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
Who you are:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (requirement).
- Minimum 3 years of experience designing and/or selling closets, kitchens or building materials.
- Reliable transportation and valid G driver's license and willingness to travel to client locations as needed.
- Must be able to provide a clean Ontario Driver Abstract and letter from insurance provider.
- Reliable personal vehicle required.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft, Design Software, Fleet Management and Enterprise Resource Systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and administration skills to write reports and track metrics.
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills, with the ability to effectively communicate our value proposition to clients.
- Demonstrates a strong positive attitude.
