Dunn Audiology is an independent and locally owned audiology clinic, located in southwest London, Ontario. Dunn Audiology was established in July 2014. The clinic is planning to expand its staff, in order to maintain and grow the positive relationships with all patients.  We are seeking a communication disorders assistant to work full time. Our ideal candidate would be someone who is interested in participating in all aspects of a growing private practice. We offer a competitive salary and benefits.
Services We Offer Patients:
Dunn Audiology prides ourselves on providing exceptional hearing care that meets the needs and expectations of our all valued patients. We always put the patient first. Our services include hearing assessments for adults and children, hearing aid prescriptions and fittings of all manufacturers, hearing aid repairs, assistive listening devices, counselling and other hearing needs.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist audiologists in setting up for appointments
  • Help with cleaning/repairs of hearing aids
  • Work collaboratively with audiologists to teach patients how to use hearing aids and assistive listening devices
  • Administrative duties for Dunn Audiology’s audiologists
  • Answering phone calls and emails
  • Scheduling and confirming appointments
  • Marketing - managing digital and traditional marketing strategies, as well as developing new ones
  • Manage invoicing and accounts receivables with patients and third-party insurance companies
  • Other day-to-day operational tasks
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have the Following Essential Skills:
  • Graduate from a recognized Communicative Disorder Assistant program
  • Current Certificate of Registration with the Communicative Disorders Assistant Association of Canada (CDAAC)
  • Knowledge of current hearing aid and assistive hearing devices technology
  • Professional communication skills and ability to help counsel patients and their families
  • Experience in administration and/or healthcare clinics
  • Strong computer skills
  • Compassion and empathy towards patients and their families
  • Excellent time management skills with the capacity to deal with deadlines
  • Initiative to participate in all aspects of running a private practice
