Job Opportunity – Quality Facilitator
We currently have an exciting new opportunity to join our team at our Manufacturing Facilities in Strathroy, Ontario. 
The Person:
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the incumbent is responsible for providing support for the quality teams as needed; particularly in the areas of system audits and document control.
Your duties will also involve:
 
  • Documentation: Develop Management System procedures and documents. Document control and distribution of procedures. Maintaining and updating databases. Ensuring maintenance of all applicable documents pertaining to the management system
  • TS16949, ISO14001, Plex: Maintaining archive system for records and drawings.  Setting Up and maintain log in/out system for archives. Ensuring control is maintained for engineering changes and the procedure is followed through to completion. Obtain copies of blueprints from outside sources when required. Ensuring the control of Management System policies, procedures and instructions, and related forms. Communicating updates/amendments of controlled documentation to applicable personnel. Developing Management Systems procedures. Acting as an EMS Auditor – which is responsible for conducting internal audits on the EMS to ensure conformance to MLTI EMS Program and ISO 14001. Provide training to others, as required.
  • Auditing: Act as Lead Auditor for both TS 16949 and for ISO14001. Act as Lead Liaison with Customer Audits. Coordinate and Monitor performance of Layered Process Audits. Liaison with Registrar and Meridian Global. Management of internal and external audit processes. Manager of MMOG submissions for Ford, GM and Chrysler. Non-conformance PLEX coordination.
  • Administration: Providing accurate quality information for the management team in the form of daily, weekly and monthly reports. Maintain customer scorecards on customer sites.. Assisting the plant teams with quality system development of procedures and compliance to those procedures.
  • Meetings: Attend employee information and safety meetings. Participate in departmental team meetings. Participate in continuous improvement and corrective (8D) meetings as required.
  • Other duties as required, including special projects as they arise.
 
You should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business Administration or Technical College Diploma (CET or similar).  You should have an ASQ/CQE certification with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in quality assurance experience within automotive/aerospace manufacturing environment. You should have strong communication and customer service skills, and be able to work independently and as part of a team. You must be comfortable in a fast-moving and ever changing environment, and have the ability to remain calm and professional at all times.  You must have excellent computer, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills. Ability to do work with ERP system and high level knowledge of database systems and programs is a must.
