Job Description

RECORDS CENTRE AND ARCHIVES - SUMMER STUDENT POSITION

One student is required to assist with projects that will focus on 1) the organization and retention of student records and will involve purging old records and organizing box contents, 2) assisting with archival maintenance duties, and 3) reviewing scanned Board meeting minutes and performing quality assurance checks.  



Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to work independently with little supervision
  • Academic and/or professional experience handling sensitive personal information and completing quality assurance checks and audits
  • An interest in technology, document management systems, municipal government, and/or archives would be an asset
  • Able to lift up to 40lbs and sit for long periods of time
  • Returning to post-secondary school in fall 2025


Candidates must be 16 years of age or older, currently attending school full time and must be
returning to school full time in 2025 September. Submit a copy of your current school timetable
with your electronic application (transcripts will not be accepted in lieu of a timetable). Please note that if you do not have proof of enrollment for 2025 September at this time, TVDSB will be able to extend an offer with a proof of enrollment as a condition of continued employment.


Dates of Employment: 2025 May 12 to 2025 August 22

 Location:                     Records Centre (951 Leathorne St) with possible work done at the Education Centre (1250 Dundas St)

Hours of Work:            35 hour per week
                                      Monday-Friday: 0830 -1600 with a ½ hour unpaid lunch

Rate of Pay:                 $17.20 per hour plus 4 % vacation pay)

Expiry Date:                 2025 January 13
