Canadian Centre for Product Validation
Location: London
Employment Group: Support
Salary: $30.00 per hour
Hours of Work per Week: 35

Note: This is a full-time position (35 hours per week).
Duties: Under the general supervision of the Director, Canadian Centre for Product Validation (CCPV), the incumbent is responsible for scheduling and overseeing test activities of the Centre which includes the maintenance and calibration schedules for the test equipment. Additionally, the incumbent provides up-to-date technical support and assistance by scheduling, conducting testing and completing data collection activities of the CCPV. The incumbent fabricates prototype components and test fixtures for lab testing and performs repairs to, and arranges calibration of, test equipment and components when necessary.
While transcripts are not required for the interview, they are mandatory prior to any offer of employment.

Qualifications:
- Post-secondary 3 year diploma/degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering Technology
- Minimum 5 years demonstrated recent, relevant industry experience including lead-hand experience in a testing environment
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered
- Familiarity with thermal, mechanical, electrical and environmental test specifications, test set-ups and equipment, including electro-magnetic compatibility (EMC)
- Experience using equipment such as oscilloscope, automated data loggers, multimeters, spectrum analyzers and EMI receivers
- Demonstrated ability to operate shop equipment including CNC milling machines and lathes, welding and a variety of hand tools
- Familiarity with programming PLCs, as well as PC-based data acquisition and control software, networking and automated data collection
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
