Job Responsibilities:
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
1. CPA designation or actively pursuing a CPA designation.
2. Business Administration or Commerce degree or equivalent.
3. Experience using Microsoft Office.
4. Experience working with an ERP system, standard cost environment, cost analysis, and inventory accounting would be an asset.
DUTIES:
1. Track costs incurred and costs remaining to be spent for tooling and capital projects.
2. Responsible for management of tooling inventory and costing.
3. Responsible for various capital and tooling account reconciliations as assigned.
4. Prepare margin reports by program/part number.
5. Maintain accurate material standard costs in our system. Facilitate annual standard cost roll.
6. Attend and participate actively in all APQP meetings.
7. Work with all departments on capital request packages. Enter and track capex in automated system (MCS).
8. Act as a backup for all inventory transactions and reconciliations.
9. Recommend ways and means of providing better timely and accurate management information from the cost system.
10. Become proficient with CMS ERP system.
11. Work with Production and Engineering to establish annual run standards and crew sizes used for standard costing purposes.
12. Assist in the preparation of the annual budget (capital, tooling, scrap revenue, contribution margin)
13. Assist as backup to general accountant.
14. Perform audits on the bill of materials.
15. Approach each day and each challenge with a positive attitude.
16. Conduct themselves in a professional manner when receiving or giving feedback/information, whether it is positive or constructive.
17. Support and models the Presstran operational procedures/policies, Employee Handbook and “How We Work Together”, Magna Employee’s Charter, Magna Corporate Constitution.
18. Follow and comply with all operational procedures/policies as stated in the Employee Handbook, Quality and Environmental programs (e.g. TS16949, IATF16949, ISO14001).
19. Adhere to all Health and Safety programs in accordance with the OHSA. Follow and ensure the Company’s procedures regarding safety rules and regulations are followed throughout their assigned area.
20. Keeping the work area clean and tidy in compliance with departmental 5S standards.
21. Other duties as required.
