Provide leadership and supervision for Indigenous Education staff supporting Indigenous and marginalized students from Kindergarten to Grade 12.

Foster a supportive and culturally responsive learning environment.

Work closely with Indigenous communities and partner organizations to facilitate access to student and family support services.

Serve as a key liaison with the Indigenous Education Advisory Committee and the Six Nations Advisory Committee.

Support the implementation of the Jordan’s Principle Protocol to ensure Indigenous students receive equitable services.

Act as a system-wide resource on Indigenous knowledge, perspectives, history, and culture through an Indigenous lens.

Lead the development, implementation, and review of Native Studies, English, and Native Language courses.

Guide curriculum innovation and Indigenous program development in alignment with the Grand Erie Indigenous Plan, the Indigenous Board Action Plan, and the Multi-Year Strategic Plan.

Oversee and report on the Board Action Plan for Indigenous Education.

Provide leadership in the implementation and oversight of the Six Nations and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation Education Service Agreements (ESA) and the SNP-Steam Reciprocal Education Approach (REA), including annual ESA reporting.

Manage the allocation and oversight of Indigenous Education budgets.

Facilitate and oversee Elementary REAs and NATIONS/Newstart programs.

Attend Principal Leader meetings to ensure cross-departmental collaboration and alignment.

Minimum of 3 years experience as an Administrator with completed Principal Qualification Program certification.

A valid driver’s license and a reliable means of transportation is required.

Evidence of lived experiences with and ability to work with the Indigenous community to improve the success of Indigenous students

Knowledge of Indigenous perspectives as it relates to the delivery of Ontario curriculum

Knowledge of anti-racism education mandate and implementation

Evidence of related community connections and experiences

Evidence of experience with and ability to work with marginalized communities to improve the success of racialized students

Evidence of the ability to work with others in a collaborative team approach
