Administrative Support

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Davis Martindale is one of the most recognizable accounting firms in Southwestern Ontario. For over 50 years, we have proudly served and responded to the needs of our clients.

We currently have an open position for an individual to join our Accounting & Assurance team as an Administrative Support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Proofreading financial statements and make revisions where required
• Ensuring appropriate signatures have been obtained for issuing financial statements
• Printing and binding requested financial statements
• Scanning (pdf) final copy of financial statements to Caseware
• Ensuring all paperwork has appropriate signatures
• Providing support coverage for all other Administrative Support positions during peak volumes and absences
• Preparing Invoices
• Performing file lock downs
• Confirming year/period end dates are consistent throughout statements
• Confirming carry forward amounts from statements and notes throughout statement
• Confirming signed engagement letter received in the last 3 years
• iChannel documentation assistance
• Setting up new firm clients accordance with onboarding protocol
• Screening potential new clients, assisting with the onboarding
• Assisting partners and managers with firm admin as needed
• Assisting partners with scheduling in their calendars
• Receiving and coordinating client returned documents

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 2 years working in a professional office environment
• Possess a high level of professionalism
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills
• Ability to take direction accurately and work independently
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Focus on accuracy and attentive to detail
• Working knowledge of MS Office
• Post-secondary diploma/certification in Office Administration, Legal Assistant or Law Clerk
