Drafting and Design

Our client, a leader in outdoor construction materials has experienced rapid growth and is looking to add a Design and Drafting Technologist  to join their team. Ideal candidates will come from the Construction, Architecture industry. 

What we offer:
  • Competitive salary range of $55,000-$65,000 per year
  • Benefits, RSP matching. 
  • 3 weeks’ vacation.
  • Challenging role working along with a fantastic team.
What you’ll be doing:
  • Assist in creating ship drawings: First submittals, sheet layout, site dimensions and fabrication tickets. 
  • Using AutoCAD and Revit to achieve accuracy in building. 
  • Using your knowledge of the building code to make sure specifications are in line. 
  • Coordinate with drafting manager details of projects. 
  • Attend meeting and contribute ideas to improve processes and maintain good relationships with all departments.   
 
What we are looking for:
  • Building and construction industry knowledge is essential.
  • Knowledge of the building code is an asset.  
  • Must know AutoCAD or Revit 
  • Ability to read, understand and architectural drawings.  
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal. 
  • You must be a strong collaborator and have great attention to detail.
