Our NPs are part of an interdisciplinary care team of Physicians, Registered Nurses, allied health and external community partners. We offer our clients a wide-range of services across four sites including mobile outreach. We serve those who experience barriers to receiving medical & social supports. Our interdisciplinary team provides support in order to enhance the health and wellbeing of our clients.

THE COMPENSATION PACKAGE

  • A salary range of $108,000 – $122,000
  • This position is part of the Community Commitment Program for Nurses (CCPN) which provides a $25,000 incentive to eligible nurses
  • Monday to Friday - no weekends, no rotating shifts
  • 100% employer-paid health & dental package, including up to $2,000/benefit year for mental health, $1,500 for massage therapy

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Certificate
  • Registered Nurse in the Extended Class with the CNO; good standing
  • Understanding of the social determinants of health & health promotion
  • Willingness to work with people of diverse backgrounds with an inclusive and anti-oppressive lens

EXTRAS TO TELL US ABOUT

  • Experience providing care in a community or outreach setting
  • Experience in mental health care or working with people experiencing substance use disorders and/or homelessness
  • French and other language skills are considered an asset in supporting the communities we serve
  • Methadone/suboxone/sublocade certification or willingness to certify

WHAT WE WILL TRAIN YOU ON

  • How to practice from social justice, trauma and violence informed care, and harm reduction frameworks
  • Effective crisis prevention, intervention and stabilization skills
  • Computer skills (Office 365 & Telus Practice Solutions Suite)
