stevensE3 is a London, Ontario based exhibit fabricator that has been in business for almost 100 years. We are a small - medium sized organization that focuses on the design, fabrication, transport and installation of trade show exhibits, events and permanent installations across Canada and the United States.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for constructing, erecting, installing and repairing components for exhibits by following drawings and blueprints.  Making fabrication suggestions as needed in design phase to help facilitate accuracy between detail drawings and actual finished product.

 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Determine Material Requirements	·       Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications ·       Interact with Pre-Production to provide suggestions and feedback on construction methods ·       Plan the most efficient means to produce a product and execute the plan ·       Design and construct appropriate crating as necessary
Maintain Supplies Inventory	·       Checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; ordering and receiving supplies through purchasing
Prepare Layout	·       Using measuring tools to prepare
Construct and Repair Exhibits	·       Following standards and procedures and making adjustments as necessary ·       Fabricate components in accordance with time-frame available ·       Using tools for measuring, cutting, shaping and assembling materials ·       Install and dismantle exhibits (throughout Canada/USA)
Ensure Operation of Carpentry Equipment	·       Completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing equipment malfunctions; evaluating new equipment and techniques and making recommendations to Management
Maintain Safe and Clean Working Environment	·       Complying with all rules and regulations

 
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

·       Completion of secondary school is preferred ·       Completion of a three- to four-year apprenticeship program or A combination of over four years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in carpentry is usually required to be eligible for trade certification.   ·       Valid passport and ability to travel within Canada and the United States ·       Valid drivers license in good standing ·       Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
