The London Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) is the lead economic development agency for London, Canada. LEDC works with business, government and community partners to attract business investment, develop a connected and supportive business climate and grow London's talented workforce.
Duties and learning opportunities:
This position, reporting to the Director, Workforce Development, will be responsible for:
- Collecting and entering data into various data bases
- Contacting companies by phone and in writing to verify details
- Preparing resource documents
- Other projects as they arise including but not limited to assistance with planning and management of events and local outreach activities.
- Opportunity to participate in project development
Skills and abilities required:
- Data base entry and management experience
- Superior verbal and written skills
- Process and detail oriented
- Maturity, ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team
- Dependable, adaptable and patient
Days and times employee must be available: Flexible, but regular day-time hours. 35 hrs/week. $15;00 per hour. June 4-August 31, 2018

Eligibility
In order to be considered for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following Canada Summer Jobs program and project requirements:
- have been registered as a full-time post-secondary student during the 2017-18 academic year;
- plan to return to school on a full-time basis for the 2018-19 academic year;
- be between 15 & 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
- be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act;
- be legally entitled to work according to Ontario legislation and regulations; and
- not be working 30 hours or more per week in other jobs.
