Job Description
Our client a leader in the construction industry is seeking a Sales Manager in London Ontario to lead a small but enthusiastic inside and outside sales team. You will develop and execute sales strategies, manage client relationships, and drive the sales department to meet KPI’s
You must have a deep understanding of the construction industry, strong leadership skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
This position is 80% in office and 10% travel and so remote is not an option.

What you do/ Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives within the construction sector.
- Lead the team using a mentor style of management to motivate inside and outside sales teams. Create and educate the team and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Analyze market trends, competitors, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and presentations for senior management.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess team performance.
- Work with General Manager to help manage the sales budget, including setting targets and monitoring expenses to ensure profitability.
- Work closely with other departments, including marketing, project management, and finance, to ensure alignment and support for sales activities.
- Be part of the estimating team following up after quotes.
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications are a plus, not a must.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in sales management within the construction industry, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a sales team.
- In-depth understanding of the construction industry, including market trends, products, services, and client needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels. High-level presentations for clients and upper management.
- Proficient in CRM software, sales management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events. 80% in office and 10% travel.
