POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, the Accounts Payable Analyst should be able to work independently as well as function in a team environment. The Accounts Payable Analyst is expected to conduct all matters in a manner consistent with Shur-Gain, a Nutreco company’s Corporate Values of Innovation, Caring, Capable, and Collaboration. This is a 1 year contract position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Accounts payable invoice entry
- Daily balancing of accounts payable sub-ledger to general ledger
- Preparation of cash requirements and processing of electronic and manual payments
- Cash forecasting to Guelph Head Office
- Checking and filing of vendor monthly statements/answer vendor inquiries
- Reconciliation of month-end inter-company payables
- Month-end journal entries as required
- Other Finance related duties on an as needed basis
PREFERRED HIRING CRITERIA:
- Post-secondary education with an emphasis on Finance/Accounting;
- Proficiency using CEA, Lawson M3 and BPCS or experience with AS400 applications;
- Proficiency with Microsoft software applications such as Excel and Word;
- Excellent communication skills (French would be an asset);
- Ability to work in and contribute to a team environment;
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
