Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in ensuring that intake staff is accurately completing required documentation in a timely manner.
• Assist in crisis counselling/intervention support in keeping with professional standards.
• Assist Program Supervisor in monitoring staff performance, ensuring compliance to MSL’s Mission, Vision and Values.
• Assist in ensuring staff practice is in accordance with the policies and procedures of Mission Services of London and Men’s Mission Procedures.
• Assist in developing and supporting a positive, team oriented work environment.
• Assist in the hiring, orientation and training of new staff, volunteers and student placements.
• Assist in providing timely feedback to all intake staff through on the job training and probationary period.
• Assist with ongoing coaching/mentoring to all staff.
• Assist in producing ongoing work schedules for rotating shifts, which provide staffing for the Men’s Mission on a 24-hour basis.

Qualifications:

• Community College diploma in human services, social work or related field or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience working within a social service agency.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good listening skills.
• Supervisory experience a definite asset.

Position Details:

• Full-time position at 40 hours per week (10 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. shift).
• Pay Level 3.
