Hours:  Up to 6 hours per week - Daytime and evening teaching availability required.

Note: This is a part-time temporary Faculty position (up to 6 hours per week) starting January 6, 2025, and ending April 2025.

The School of Community Studies is seeking a qualified individual for a temporary Part-time Professor position up to 6 hours per week in the Winter term 2025. A part-time Professor at Fanshawe College is responsible for providing academic leadership and for developing an effective learning environment for students.


GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
  • Excellent communicator
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners from different backgrounds
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with various technologies
  • Related industry work experience
  • Previous post-secondary teaching experience (hybrid and/or online delivery) and knowledge of curriculum design and student evaluations are assets
SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Post-secondary 3-year degree in Thanatology, Social Work, or Nursing
  • Master’s degree in a related field of study is an asset
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience of recent and relevant work experience in Palliative Care or Hospice environments
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Available to teach in the following areas: Foundations and Principles of Palliative Care, Comprehensive Palliative Care, Diversity in Palliative Care, Awareness of Death and Dying, Palliative Care Across the Lifespan Research Essentials
