ASSOCIATION OF BUSINESS PROFESSIONALS (NON-UNION EMPLOYEE GROUP)

GROUP “3” – FULL TIME POSITION

 

Reporting to the Superintendent of Education, the Administrative Assistant, Superintendent of Education, provides administrative support to the Superintendent in the day to day operations of their portfolio. They have excellent knowledge of Board policies and procedures, the ability to maintain positive public relations with parents, staff, and outside agencies, while operating a functional and efficient office, ensuring the protection of personal information and confidentiality. The hours of work will be determined by the Superintendent in consultation with the successful candidate.

 

Qualifications and Skills required:

  • Post-secondary diploma in Office Administration or related field
  • Advanced secretarial/business training and extensive secretarial experience
  • Excellent understanding of Catholic Education and the system commitment to student learning
  • Advanced word processing and records management skills utilizing MS office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access) and Outlook
  • Advanced budget management skills
  • Extensive knowledge of Board policies, procedures and protocols
  • Demonstrated ability to provide timely and accurate reports for internal and external purpose
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing database systems
  • Excellent human relations, communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated professional ethic and sensitivity for the confidential nature of the position
  • A strong commitment to service
