Job Description
Our client a family-owned Foundry located in London is actively seeking a Red Seal General Machinist- Straight Days!

What you will be doing:
- Operate and set up a variety of machine tools, including CNC machines, lathes, mills, and grinders to manufacture and modify parts based on detailed blueprints or work orders.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure precision and accuracy in machining processes.
- Inspect and measure parts for conformance to specifications using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
- Maintain machines and tools by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs when needed.
- Monitor production runs to ensure quality standards are met, adjusting machine settings or tools as necessary.
- Ensure that all workpieces are within tolerance levels and meet safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to identify improvements in machining processes and resolve technical challenges.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting with casting processes, mold preparation, or foundry operations as needed.
- Mentor and train other workers on machining techniques, proper use of tools, and adherence to quality control standards.
Who you are:
- Licensed Red Seal - Machinist – MUST HAVE
- Ability to read blueprints and make tool adjustments.
- Experience working in a heavy environment in hotter temperatures.
- Ability to mentor and train machinist and operators.
- Excellent Math skills are required for measurements of tooling.
