Our client a family owned in metal casting manufacturer in London is looking for Human Resource and Health and Safety Professional.  This small team of professionals has room to prove yourself and grow. 
 
You must be high energy and dynamic and be empathetic to the employees and team members. You will be dealing with very confidential information and so you must also have a high degree of discretion.

What you do: 
  • Recruiting, testing, counseling and guiding the hiring process with managers and departments. 
  • Orientation for new staff and on boarding. 
  • Working within budgets for hiring, training. 
  • Dealing with grievances and any staff issues and working closely with managers and staff to come to resolutions. 
  • Maintain associate benefits & pension programs.
  • Complete weekly and bi-weekly payrolls for hourly staff as well as coordination of payroll with third party recruitment firms. 
  • Maintain Human Resources policy binders and keeping up to date on legislation to keep binder current. 
  • Responsible for all Health and Safety programs within the facility to ensure due diligence and compliance to all applicable legislation.
  • Responsible to manage the RTW program and claims management of WSIB, STD and LTD.
  • Perform document control functions related to TS & Environmental requirements that pertain to your department.
 
Who you are:
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position(s).
  • Human Resources Management Certificate.
  • Occupational Health & Safety Certificate a definite asset.
  • Good working knowledge of HR issues.
  • Good working knowledge of current and changing legislation in HR and Safety including MOL requirements.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, independently and in a team.
